Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, at Stavanger) is a Norwegian music producer and a vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise by music journalists and press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are two of her most well-known recordings. Her name was also recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a keyboard in her loft, and becoming fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music not to get an income or as a pastime and as a way to improve. Thus, she began writing her own songs. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. The singer decided to perform her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they can help other people, not be famous with her music, but rather to help the people around them understand their importance and the ways they could impact the world. When she began playing the piano, she was only six and began writing music by the time she was nine. The family members didn't know about her musical journey until she was 14. Aurora did not have a set goal. Aurora claims she loves writing songs. She says that music is her most preferred way of feeling anything.
